Upgrade to VE 9
Upgrade your NETLAB+ system to Proxmox VE 9
The latest version of NETLAB+ supports Proxmox VE 9. If your system runs on Proxmox VE 8, a new lab teaches the VE 8 to 9 cluster upgrade process, and the Proxmox VE 9: Setup and Management course teaches the new version. Both are available through NDG Online or on your NETLAB+ system.
When you are ready, follow the NETLAB+ guide to upgrading Proxmox VE 8 to 9. Hosts on VE 8.4 upgrade in place, one node at a time, with no reinstall and no need to re-import your NETLAB+ VM.
Before upgrading your Proxmox hosts, keep your NETLAB+ system up to date with the latest version. Current system requirements, install guides, and administrator documentation live on the NETLAB+ documentation site.
Practice the upgrade
A new lab walks through the Proxmox cluster upgrade step by step. It teaches Proxmox skills you can apply when you upgrade your hosts; for NETLAB+ specific steps, follow the NETLAB+ upgrade guide.
- Proxmox VE 8: Advanced Administration and Optimization Lab 15, Upgrading a Proxmox Cluster to PVE 9: upgrade a VE 8 cluster to VE 9. Available now.
- Proxmox VE 8: Setup and Management, Upgrading a Proxmox Node to PVE 9: upgrade an individual server from VE 8 to VE 9. In development.
The course link above goes to NDG Online, with nothing to set up. The cluster lab is also in the Advanced Administration and Optimization lab library of your NETLAB+ system; update the course in the Course Manager to Release 3 to receive it.
Learn and teach Proxmox VE 9
The Proxmox VE 9: Setup and Management course is available now on NDG Online: 16 labs and 9 assessments covering installation through clustering and high availability. The same content is available as a lab library for your NETLAB+ system; install it using the Course Manager.
